In April 2005 Alexandria Moulding M.W. (Alex M.W.) located in La Porte, IN, and servicing the MW market (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan) was the latest Distribution Centre added to our mega centers. Alexandria Moulding has been in operation for more than 65 years and is privately owned and managed by a third generation of family members.
Alexandria Moulding has manufacturing centers located on both the East and West coast that provide Alex M.W. with primed finger jointed mouldings in pine and poplar, light density fiberboard (MDF) and solid wood moulding such as poplar, oak, and pine.
In addition to our own manufacturing, we import commodity mouldings from various locations in the world that have advantages over domestic production. We have a variety of door shop products such as jambs, frames and stops. Our customer base is comprised of box stores, lumber yards, pre hangers and pro dealers.
Our company strategy/focus is to “service our customers flexibly with cost effective, quality mouldings, with 100% fill rate while being best in class at delivering value added products and services to our customer base”. We support this strategy with three pillars of focus: 1) Improving what we do each and every day 2) Grow with key product lines and/or markets and 3) Bringing innovative value added products and service to the market.
As a corporation and at each individual site including Alex M.W., we take our environmental foot print very seriously. We have FSC (Forest Stewardship Counsel) and SCS (Scientific Certification System) certified mouldings, water based primers and an ECO Action programs.
