Used to encase the area around doors or windows where the frame meets the drywall.

Chair Rail

Usually applied 32 - 36 inches up a wall from the floor, parallel to the baseboards, to prevent chairs from marking the walls. Nowadays, more commonly applied as a decorative detail.

Chamfer Strip

Utilized where kitchen cabinet tops meet the walls or as a linoleum cove. Sometimes used for window applications.

Corner Block

Corner blocks are installed at the top of a door and at the corners of a window.
Cove

Application

Coves are concave semicircular profiles on mouldings. They are most commonly used to build-up crown mouldings or as an inside corner guard where two walls meet.

Crown

Installed where the ceiling and wall meet for a dramatic effect. Often referred to as a Cornice.
